Our story
Started from a stockroom problem in Kuching
Gasing Systems grew out of a simple observation: most small shops in Sarawak already had the data they needed to run better — it was just scattered across spreadsheets, email threads, and folders that nobody had time to sort through properly.
We started with one shop on Jalan Padungan that was running out of certain items every quarter while overstocking others. The owner wasn't doing anything wrong — the information just wasn't arranged in a way that made the pattern obvious. A forecasting sheet built from their own records changed that within the first month.
We've kept the same approach since: find the actual friction point, scope a specific fix, deliver it in a format the business already uses, and document everything so the arrangement doesn't depend on us staying involved.

Automation that earns its place
We're not trying to replace the judgement of the people who run these businesses. We're trying to remove the parts of the day that eat time without adding much — sorting supplier mail by hand, reordering stock by feel, starting every handover from scratch.
Every tool we build is designed to hand decisions back to a person, not to make them on its own. The stock sheet suggests quantities; you choose what to order. The email sorter flags what needs attention; you decide how to respond.

Small shops and family businesses in Kuching operate differently from the large organisations that most automation software is designed for. Purchasing decisions happen quickly, supplier relationships are personal, and there's rarely a dedicated IT person to maintain new systems.
Gasing Systems focuses on this specific context. The tools we build are scoped to match the capacity of a small team — they don't require ongoing maintenance from us, they don't introduce new subscriptions without explaining the cost, and they fit inside the software the business already uses.
AI-assisted forecasting and mail sorting are not new ideas, but the way they're usually sold — as platforms with monthly fees and configuration dashboards — doesn't suit a shop with three employees and a spreadsheet that's been running since 2018.
We take the underlying capability and deliver it in a form that works for that context: a sheet that opens in Excel, a sorting rule that runs inside your existing inbox, and a folder of documentation you can hand to whoever comes after you.
